Contract type: Full Time (37.5 hours) – Permanent Location: Leeds, Leeds International Study Centre Salary: up to £24570 per annum Leeds International Study Centre (LISC) and Leeds Beckett University International Study Centre (LBUISC) are provided by Study Group in collaboration with the University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University. You will be part of the Progression team, as part of the wider Student Support Team at the LISC and LBUISC working with the existing Progression and Student Success Coaches as a personal tutor and supporting progression needs of students. You will need to be highly organised, with strong ICT skills and a background in student support, ideally with international students. ABOUT THE ROLE * Acting as a PASS Coach/Personal Tutor delivering weekly Progression and Student Success (PASS) tutorials to your tutor groups * To design and create learning materials around study skills, university skills and employability for Progression and Student Success tutorials. * To provide 1:1 personal and professional development coaching with students to help them succeed. * To monitor and support interventions for academic engagement and attendance. * To track student performance, support in the Mitigating Circumstances procedure and ensure progression records are maintained. * To monitor, track and provide reports on student destinations and assist students in finding alternative choices where they do not meet their progression requirements. * To assist in organising and delivering student induction, to ensure a smooth transition to UK study for students * To assist the Engagement and Transition team in enrichment events and university transition activities. * To assist with general student queries – face to face, by email and phone * To foster productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders * To adhere to all compliance requirements in relation to GDPR, UKVI requirements, Safeguarding and Health and Safety. * Any other duties as required by Student Support Coordinator (Progression), the Head of Student Support or the wider Senior Leadership Team ABOUT YOU * Level 3 Qualification (or equivalent experience) * Experience of providing advice and guidance to students or clients * Experience of working cooperatively with and motivating others * Experience working with data * Experience of working with students or clients for whom English is a second language or from an international background * Experience of creating materials for delivery * Experience of delivering workshops or classes ABOUT US Study Group is a leading international education provider that is dedicated and passionate about helping students around the world, creating a brighter future and reaching their full potential.
