Our client: A family owned Italian bakery company based in the Park Royal area in London. Amongst the UK’s largest wholesale producers of high-quality breads, specialising in Ciabatta, Focaccia and bespoke products, with quality at the heart of what they do.
The role: The role as a health, safety and facilities coordinator has been newly created to replace the use of external health and safety consultants at the business. As a health, safety and facilities coordinator, you will have access to the highest quality of training, knowledge and genuine investment in your growth and development. This role has a clear progression pathway to a health and safety manager position within the company. You will contribute to the ongoing ISO 45001 accreditation process and manage established systems within the business. You will ensure compliance with health, safety, and ISO standards through maintenance, audits, and training. You will manage risk assessments, accident investigations, and contractor safety, including permits and control measures. You will maintain legal compliance by staying updated on HSE regulations and overseeing relevant administrative duties (e.g. maintenance forms). This position is intended as the beginning of a pathway within the business to eventually become a health and safety manager. The business will invest in your growth, learning and development and there are progression and promotional opportunities down the line.
Ideal candidate: Must have baseline health and safety certifications of NEBOSH and IOSH. Must have experience working in a similar role (food industry experience preferred but not required). Looking for a long-term position in a company that will invest in your growth and development. Hold training certificates (First aid, Fire Marshall, IPAF and food safety). Experience of prioritising and working to a budget.
