About the Role:

You will be responsible for assessing unsecured business loan applications, often involving nuanced, non-standard cases. Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake robust credit assessments on unsecured SME lending proposals
- Apply sound judgement to complex and sometimes challenging applications
- Make informed decisions, balancing risk and commercial opportunity
- Work collaboratively with Business Lending Managers to ensure clients receive appropriate funding support
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of underwriting standards
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience underwriting SME or commercial lending facilities, ideally unsecured loans
- A track record of handling complex cases requiring strong judgement and problem-solving
- Excellent understanding of risk, cash flow lending, and financial analysis
