We’re looking for a Contract Data Scientist to join a cross-functional team working on innovative, data-driven products in the media and content space.

Some key responsibilities of the role:

  • Analyse large, complex datasets related to audience behaviour, website behaviour, content consumption, and engagement trends.
  • Build and deploy predictive models using machine learning and time series algorithms to drive business decisions.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to shape data solutions and support product innovation.
  • Run A/B and multivariate tests to evaluate new features and optimise user experience and model performance.
  • Improve and maintain tools and infrastructure supporting the ML lifecycle (e.g., pipelines, deployment, monitoring).
  • Translate complex findings into clear insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure work adheres to internal governance and external privacy regulations.

Some key experience for the role:

  • 2+ years of hands-on ML experience in real-world settings.
  • Advanced degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or similar.
  • Strong background in Python, SQL, and key libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn).
  • Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, time series forecasting, and model evaluation.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP).
  • Experience with productionising models using tools like Kubernetes, Docker, and Airflow.
  • Good knowledge of NLP techniques for text analysis.
  • Ability to design and run effective experiments (A/B, multivariate).
  • Excellent communicator – able to explain complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
