As part of Pilgrims' Friend Society, we foster a supportive environment which respects and celebrates Christian beliefs. The purpose of this is to recognise that each individual is unique, and we strive to create a nurturing environment where residents feel cared for. Our care staff provide holistic end of life care which focuses on emotional wellbeing. We aim to enhance the quality of the lives of the people who live with us (our family members) in different ways, including singing and reading the Bible with them.
We currently have opportunities for Care Assistants who are enthusiastic and motivated to join our Care Team, providing care 24/7 for our 32 residents, offering residential, dementia, and respite care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality, professional service of care to our residents.
- Help residents with personal cleanliness, such as assisting with bathing.
- Support residents to eat and drink.
- Treat others as individuals with unique and diverse needs.
- Treat our residents with dignity and respect.
- Support our residents to remain independent and healthy, encouraging them to be part of the community within the home.
- Get to know residents to comfort, assist, and give reassurance when needed.
- Assist with tidying, cleaning, laundering, and other domestic tasks when needed.
- Assist in the care at end of life.
About you:
- You need to enjoy working with older people and have empathy for them.
- You need to be able to work in a team and be willing to take on any task to provide an excellent level of care to our clients.
- You need to be well-organised, adaptable, and practical.
