We are looking for an experienced and impact-driven Evidence and Impact Manager to help shape the future of access and participation in higher education. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about using research and evaluation to drive meaningful change for students from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds.
In this role, you will lead the delivery of research publications aligned with a structured release schedule, ensuring that insights generated are high quality, accessible, and actionable. You will be central to translating rigorous evaluation, including Randomised Controlled Trials and Quasi-Experimental Designs, into practical improvements in student access, success, and progression. This role sits at the heart of a team committed to creating causal evidence and sharing it in ways that make a tangible impact both inside and beyond the university. You will ensure our research findings are communicated clearly, contribute to strategic decision-making, and support a culture of evidence-informed practice.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading on the delivery of research and evaluation outputs aligned with sector regulatory requirements (e.g. Access and Participation Plan).
- Supporting a culture of impact by making research outputs clear, relevant, and accessible for both internal and external audiences.
- Driving excellence in research communication, including translating complex quantitative data into meaningful insights.
- Collaborating with academic and professional colleagues across faculties to embed evidence into practice.
- Supporting and promoting academic publications based on internal evaluations and findings.
- Co-leading small-scale research and evaluation projects.
- Continuously developing expertise in research and evaluation methodologies.
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from candidates with diverse experiences across and beyond higher education, including those from non-traditional or underrepresented backgrounds, who can demonstrate the skills and values needed for success in this role. You’ll be someone who:
- Has experience in research and evaluation, particularly in applied or policy contexts.
- Can confidently communicate complex research findings in an accessible and impactful way.
- Is passionate about advancing equity and widening participation in education.
- Understands how to maximise the real-world impact of research through engagement, communication, and collaboration.
This is a rare opportunity to work in a research-informed, impact-driven role at the intersection of education policy, research, and practice. Your work will directly influence how evidence shapes the experiences and outcomes of underrepresented students.
