The role will be heavily focused on Vetting/Background Checks (BPSS) of new starters using Experian. Responsibilities include:
- Creating guidance and training content to support self-service for key people processes (e.g., onboarding, probation, leavers).
- Working within established policies and designing and delivering new or updated people processes.
- Collaborating with stakeholders and supporting project delivery.
This role has a strong emphasis on Vetting Services, including:
- Coordinating background checks in line with policy.
- Liaising with vetting partners to manage risk.
- Supporting both candidates and employees.
- Ensuring vetting is completed within agreed service levels.
- Acting as the first point of contact for queries and low- to medium-risk cases.
- Managing associated employee relations cases.
Reporting Responsibilities:
- Tracking vetting status daily.
- Providing regular reports to leaders on completion rates.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: A Levels or equivalent (High School / FE College). HR-related degree/diploma useful but not essential.
- Experience: Solid understanding of HR policies, procedures, or systems. Strong Vetting experience. Experian experience. Knowledge of employment compliance checks desirable.
