The role will be heavily focused on Vetting/Background Checks (BPSS) of new starters using Experian. Responsibilities include:

  • Creating guidance and training content to support self-service for key people processes (e.g., onboarding, probation, leavers).
  • Working within established policies and designing and delivering new or updated people processes.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders and supporting project delivery.

This role has a strong emphasis on Vetting Services, including:

  • Coordinating background checks in line with policy.
  • Liaising with vetting partners to manage risk.
  • Supporting both candidates and employees.
  • Ensuring vetting is completed within agreed service levels.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for queries and low- to medium-risk cases.
  • Managing associated employee relations cases.

Reporting Responsibilities:

  • Tracking vetting status daily.
  • Providing regular reports to leaders on completion rates.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: A Levels or equivalent (High School / FE College). HR-related degree/diploma useful but not essential.
  • Experience: Solid understanding of HR policies, procedures, or systems. Strong Vetting experience. Experian experience. Knowledge of employment compliance checks desirable.
