Partner Financial is working with a global and market leading E-commerce and consumer business, who are seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to join their Manchester office. Dedicated to their people-first strategy, the business is entering an exciting period of growth as they aim to unify their brands, whilst undergoing the largest re-platforming project in the travel industry.
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director, you will be responsible for driving the commercial success of the business and partnering with Trading, Revenue, Operations and Marketing teams to provide data driven insights and steer the analysis, reporting and strategic insights generation; associated with revenue performance, margins and financial optimisation. This is an equally exciting and crucial hire, whereby you will support on key decisions and forecasting across focal commercial areas.
Key responsibilities:
- Working closely with revenue managers teams to assess impact of trading initiatives, pricing strategies, discount activity and trends on revenue performance.
- Partnering with Trading, Revenue, Marketing and Operations teams to structure commercial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Directing reporting cycles, which include quarterly forecasts for revenue and margin inputs.
- Carrying out regular performance reviews with key stakeholders and making sure financial and operational objectives are supported across the business.
- Creating financial models to assess impact of new estimations, pricing shifts and proposals.
- Alternatives future planning to prepare for changes across the business.
- Cooperating with stats teams to suggest improvements for data and reporting efficacy; whilst advocating for automation of financial processes.
The ideal candidate:
- We anticipate the successful candidate will be a skilled accountant, coming from an e-commerce, consumer, B2C, retail or hospitality background; with hands-on experience in revenue analysis, margin reporting and business partnering, with the following traits:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Background in business partnering and adding value.
- Experience in e-commerce, consumer, B2C, retail or hospitality is advantageous.
- Advanced Excel skills or experience with financial processing tools would be desirable.
- Strong communication skills, proactive and ability to influence non-financial stakeholders.
