Sheet Metal Worker

Location: New Milton, Dorset

Salary: £17.50 - £21 + overtime

Work a 4-day week if you want to and still bring home a good wage. There’s plenty of overtime too, paid at time and a half. You’ll have flexible hours and the chance to earn more while keeping your weekends free. Or stick to a 37-hour week if that suits you better.

You’ll work alongside skilled engineers on high-precision aerospace parts, giving you the chance to sharpen your sheet metal skills even further. You’ll be shaping, cutting, bending, and forming high-spec components using technical drawings. It’s the kind of work that keeps your skills sharp and your day varied.

Some of the materials you’ll be working with include aluminium and stainless steel, both of which require a good level of precision. You’ll also be stretching and shrinking sheet metal to tight tolerances, which adds another layer of skill to your day.

There’s a mix of solo jobs and ones that need two sets of hands, so you’ll have the chance to work both independently and as part of a team on more complex pieces.

What you’ll need:
