We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Team Member / Post Office Counter Clerk (18+). As a Customer Team Member at SPAR, you will play a vital role in supporting our store management and creating a positive customer experience. You will assist in maximising sales and profit by carrying out allocated tasks to contribute to the store's continuous improvement, ensuring great customer service through ‘Brilliant Basics, Moments of Wow, Food for later and Food for now!’. You must be willing to train as a Post Office Counter Clerk.

Key Tasks/Responsibilities:- Customer Service: Greeting customers warmly and friendly. Answering inquiries about products and services, assisting customers in finding items. Processing purchases efficiently and accurately at the tills, maintaining positive service. Upselling products and highlighting offers to maximize sales.
- Store Operations: Managing stock: checking deliveries, stocking shelves, maintaining cleanliness, rotating stock for freshness. Completing tasks like date checking, stock checks, price changes, promotional displays. Following all company policies and procedures.
- Previous experience in retail or Post Office roles preferred.
- Reliable, attentive to detail, able to follow instructions.
- Understanding of retail legislation and ability to assist with compliance.
- Ideas for delivering excellent customer service and business growth.
- Experience with ‘Challenge 25’ policy is desirable.
- Enthusiastic team player and independent worker.
- Cash handling experience is a plus but not essential.
