The main duty of a Mechanical Supervisor is to oversee repair and installation work conducted by mechanical tradespeople. The Mechanical Supervisor conducts inspections, ensuring the safety procedures are being adhered to and maintains inventory of machine parts. We are looking for someone who has experience on the tools and is looking to move into a supervisor role or you will have some experience supervising already.
The Project: Ardmore has been awarded the Β£75m contract for the main works on its Hackney Yards residential development around Hackney Wick railway station. The new blocks are split across three sites around Hackney Wick station and include over-station elements. Rising up to eight stories, the brick-clad blocks will provide 190 mixed-tenure affordable units, 31 of which will be affordable rent and 159 units available for shared ownership.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordination of services
- Planning works / ensuring works are carried out to programme
- Managing installation of heating and ventilation systems
- Procurement of materials
- Overseeing QA installation of all primary equipment
- Overseeing of Metalux secondary installation within the dwellings
- Witnessing of all SVP stack tests and making available millibar tests for building control
- Witness and sign off of all heating and cold water testing before close up of wall and ceilings
- QA of installation of all Flat ducting in accordance with specification
- All testing to be witnessed, inhibitor flushing, chlorination flushing, flow rates tests, Mvhr extract tests
Weβre Looking For:
- NVQ in Plumbing or Heating
- Working towards NVQ L 3 in supervision
- SSSTS Field view and 4 Projects
