Our Merchandising team are now looking for a Demand Planning Assistant to join them here at Harrods.
About The Role
The role of the Demand Planning Assistant is to provide comprehensive support to the Demand Planner to ensure accuracy & integrity of Demand and Fulfilment across the category. You will support with the management of the signal across a cluster of brands or categories for the purposes of driving the Supply Chain and supporting gross sales planning and execution. You will contribute toward delivering continuous improvements to business planning accuracy, enhancing sales performance, and optimising inventory holding.
The Demand Planning Assistant will work across all channels (Store, Online & Regional Sites) in collaboration with the wider Demand Planning, Merchandising & Buying teams to optimise the Demand & Fulfilment.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Support with the development of the Demand Plan and Fulfilment for all sites and ensure its quality for all retail channels.
- Work with the Demand Planning team to ensure forecast consistency and accuracy, through the building of a consensus between the commercial forecasts, the financial trend, and the sales history.
- Support the Demand Planner with creating seasonality curves based on accurate data.
- Chase deliveries and amend quantities and delivery dates to improve visibility of inbound intake.
- Resolve trouble shipments, co-ordinating with Distribution and Buying to ensure that issues are resolved promptly and drive improvements in vendor compliance.
- Responsible for EDI PO Management, liaising with EDI vendors and resolving issues.
- Manage alerts and action necessary amends and confirmations in the Supplier Portal for non-EDI vendors.

- Previous experience in Demand Planning, Merchandising, or Buying.
- Proven knowledge of SAP and strong PC literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Highly customer service-focused with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong numeracy, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Exceptional time-management, multitasking, and prioritisation abilities.
- Flexible, adaptable, and confident working to deadlines.
