My client is an exciting molecular biology focused service provider looking for two Lab Technicians to join their London based team. As a Lab Tech you’ll be central to delivering high-quality molecular biology workflows and assays that help customers accelerate their research. You’ll handle sample preparation, operate lab equipment, ensure data quality, and support smooth lab operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and troubleshoot biological samples for analysis.
  • Operate and maintain lab equipment and liquid handling instruments.
  • Review results, perform QC, and assist with data handling.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to promote innovation and efficient workflows.
  • Manage inventory and ensure lab is well-stocked.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • BSc / MSc ideal in molecular biology or similar.
  • Hands-on lab experience with biological sample preparation, extraction, or analysis (preferred), or strong related lab skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot experimental or operational issues.
  • Curious, eager to learn, and up to date with new scientific methods and techniques.
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proactive and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and collaboration.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, move, and handle lab materials and supplies.
  • Perform fine motor tasks such as pipetting, assembling small components, or data entry.

Package:

  • Fulltime contract 40 hours a week onsite in London.
  • Competitive salary based on experience.
