T2M Resourcing are working on behalf of a successful market leading company who have an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone to really make their mark in the business joining at a time of projected growth.
Competitive Salary: £23,000 to £26,000 dependent upon experience + Benefits Package
Office based with free on-site parking
Reporting directly to the Accounts Payable Supervisor your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the day-to-day functions of the accounts department from the sales and purchase ledgers to the daily cash postings and bank reconciliations.
- Cash allocation
- Daily cashbook postings
- Support the finance team with month end
- Monthly VAT checks for all invoices
- General accounting administration
To be successful as Accounts Payable Assistant you will have the following skills, attributes and experience:
- Previous accounting experience including accounts receivable, credit control and general accounting
- Ideally you will have previous experience in either the manufacturing, engineering, automotive or FMCG sector
- Studying towards AAT
- Good Microsoft office applications knowledge including MS Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, analytical and numerical abilities
- Able to adapt to new systems, work proactively with the systems to efficiently gather data and analyse them.
- A self-starter with excellent communication skills.
- Good written, verbal communication and collaborative skills
