Performs all warehousing functions required to fulfill warehousing and distribution operations at a facility. Must be able to continuously walk throughout the warehouse floor (can be up to 8 miles of walking per shift).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Primary task is to deliver product & materials to the various company departments.
- Secondary duties are to assist as needed with other Warehouse tasks.
- This is a physically demanding position requiring extensive lifting, pushing, pulling, stacking, walking, and bending.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently as an integral part of the larger Warehouse team.
- Applies simple and some intermediate skills to perform functions in the execution of existing procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to the position within assigned area.
- Resolves routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to higher levels.
- Able to prioritize work according to established guidelines.
- Adapts to changing priorities to meet customer demands.
- Simple computer literacy.
- Receives and processes delivery and storage of all parts from received from divisional receipts, vendor receipts, subcontractor receipts, and small package receipts.
- Assist in maintaining the proper storage of parts.
- Uses RF Scanner device (barcode reader) to pull products from warehouse.
- Uses proper packing materials and methods to move parts.
- Transports kits to the assembly area as directed.
- Maintains kit holding area.
- Works with scales, calculators, and other devices to make sure production counts are accurate.
- Operates WAVE and JLG lifts, electrical jacks, and other equipment used to move product.
- May be trained to use forklift.
Physical demands and abilities
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly performs repetitive tasks (picking up items, putting down items, turning, twisting, bending, reaching, and stepping onto and off of a lift (18” from ground level).
- Able to stand entire shift.
- Able to continuously walk throughout the warehouse floor (can be up to 8 miles of walking per shift).
- Regularly possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
