A leading financial service provider in the credit scores space is looking to hire an interim legal counsel with a background in payments. This is an ideal role for a junior to mid-level lawyer to work with a pioneer in the credit space. The role will cover product and marketing related tasks in the financial product development lifecycle. The role will advise on domestic and international products of the client. You will advise on issues related to UK and Canadian marketing regulations.

Role overview:

  • Assist UK and international Product and Engineering teams in developing finance tools for the clients consumers.
  • Assist with reviewing marketing materials of the clients platforms including reviewing marketing, advertising, financial promotions for legal and regulatory issues.
  • Evaluate the impact of new and evolving legal and regulatory requirements in the consumer financial product space.

Requirements:

  • UK qualified Solicitor or Common Law qualified Lawyer.
  • Experience within the payments space preferably in a consumer facing business.
  • Experience in advising on consumer credit (CONC), FCA Handbook, consumer protection and GDPR.
  • Experience with FCA Regulations on credit information and MCOBS is advantageous.
  • August start.
