Our client is looking for an experienced payments lawyer to start either in August/September 2025 for a 9-12 month contract. The ideal candidate will need to have FCA business familiarity and understand how the financial services world deals with consumer facing businesses. Experience in Consumer credit is beneficial but not a necessity.
Key requirements include:
- UK qualified (or equivalent qualification considered)
- Some in house experience in a consumer facing business
- Experience advising on consumer credit (CONC), FCA Handbook, consumer protection and privacy laws.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills
- Intellectual creativity and problem-solving skills that involve taking smart risk
