We have a rewarding opportunity for the right person to work with a young girl living in her family home in Leigh. She is a unique and engaging young girl with epilepsy, significant developmental delay, autism, and complex communication needs. She communicates through her own routines and sensory activities, and we are looking for someone who is calm, observant, and respectful to support her in her daily life.

She finds great joy in simple, sensory experiences like spending time in the hot tub, feeling the grass under her feet, and creating intricate paper shapes. She enjoys tearing paper, shaping it, and engaging in sensory activities that are meaningful to her. These activities help her self-regulate and express herself, and the right support worker will appreciate and respect her unique ways of engaging with the world.

While professional experience with autism is beneficial, we value patience, consistency, and a willingness to learn even more. You will have the opportunity to shadow and build a relationship with her over time.

What will your shift involve?

In this role, you will be providing high-quality care on a 2:1 basis, ensuring that the individual you support receives compassionate and attentive care tailored to their specific needs. Additionally, you will support with household tasks to maintain a clean and organized living environment that fosters comfort and independence. Clear and confident communication in their preferred manner will be essential to building a strong and trusting relationship.
