Adult Care Tutor/Assessor

Permanent role

Monday to Friday daytime hours

Full-time or Part-time opportunities available

Working in the premises in Oxford 3 days per week and then 2 at home if working full time

We are seeking Assessors/Tutors to deliver lessons that prepare students fully for careers as Adult Health Care practitioners. To deliver Adult Health Care qualifications at level 2 and 3, some at level 5 if you have that experience, must have Adult Care or Health and Social Care Tutor or Assessing experience for Adults.

DUTIES

  • Responsible for teaching, assessment, marking and academic development of the student body, face to face delivery in the classroom setting, then time spent at home for on line meetings and paperwork.
  • Deliver academic subject specific modules to international students from a range of linguistic, educational and cultural backgrounds at level 3
  • Remain sensitive to the expectations of different nationalities whilst encouraging an open and questioning approach to learning that leads students to become independent learners
  • Select, prepare and use teaching and learning materials appropriate for international students
  • Assess students throughout their modules, regularly creating, providing and marking both formative and summative evaluations
  • Provide detailed oral and written feedback to students and other stakeholders
  • Carry out administrative and record-keeping tasks
  • Using the course descriptor write a scheme of work, assessments and marking criteria to specified deadlines

  • Assessor Award or teacher qualified
  • Must have taught or assessed in Adult Care or Health and Social Care to Adults
