We’re looking for a bright, business-minded graduate to join us as a Licensing & Brand Development Intern. Based in London, you’ll report directly to the Head of Licensing and play a hands-on role in helping Animaj expand its licensing and consumer products footprint for iconic children’s IPs across key territories. This is an exciting opportunity to gain real experience in brand licensing, sales and retail marketing.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support the Head of Licensing and Licensing/Country Manager, Spain, in managing day-to-day agent, licensee and retail relationships and product development approvals for Animaj’s children’s intellectual properties.
- Review and approve licensed product approvals to ensure alignment with Animaj’s brand guidelines and strategic objectives and compliance with the contract.
- Help develop go-to-market strategies for new product launches.
- Monitor performance of licensed SKUs and compile data into actionable reports.
- Maintain up to date master contact lists for licensees, agents and retailers.
- Develop sales tools such as creating presentations, sales pitches, fact sheets and newsletters to be used at B2B trade shows and to support licensees, agents and retailers.
- Collaborate with various internal teams to gather relevant information (audience data, co-viewing data, competitive data, etc.) to prepare and update sales tools.
- Manage BLE trade show including booth negotiation and roll out plan and plan all related activities.
- Provide a sales toolkit for each trade event and help to set and secure a full diary, such as BLE (London), Licensing Expo (USA), London, Nuremberg and LA Toy Shows.
- Identify and update gaps and opportunities by category and market (gap analysis) by brand and IP on a quarterly basis.
- Support the development of joint marketing plans with licensees, agents and retailers (local, regional and global), to increase awareness of Animaj’s properties in various local markets.
- Assist with PR releases and submissions from licensees/agents.
- Optimise marketing and retail activities of licensees/partners, working closely with the Brand and Social Media team.
- Assist with the implementation of all necessary legal & financial information on the current Dabaz Management tool.
- Assist in administering and developing Animaj’s new rights management software for licensing contracts and assets, entering data from current and past contracts, as well as updates to existing agreements into the system.
- Ensure monthly reporting and database management for Animaj.
- Assist with any financial/payment queries from licensees and agents.
- Ensure timely submissions of all royalty reports.
- Research trends across toys, publishing, digital content, and kids’ consumer products.
Requirements
- Ideally a recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- A strong interest in licensing, merchandising, or entertainment branding.
- Excellent organisational skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Comfortable using PowerPoint, Excel, Google Workspace; Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a bonus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence in dealing with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive, collaborative, and curious —you’re not afraid to take initiative.
- A passion for kids’ content, storytelling, and branded experiences.
- Willing to travel as some travel may be required (within Europe).
