Our business has continued to grow exponentially, and we are looking for a passionate and proactive Junior Nursery Designer (m/f/d) to join our creative team, supporting the development of stylish, functional nursery products across categories such as strollers, car seats, and in-home gear.
This is an entry-level role suited to someone with a strong eye for trend and colour, an interest in the nursery industry, and the drive to grow into a specialist designer. Working closely with senior designers, you will be involved in researching trends, compiling mood boards, analyzing competitors, and helping to translate creative concepts into market-ready designs. You’ll learn how to design within product constraints and evolving trends, and how to balance style with commercial appeal. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is essential, alongside a passion for storytelling through design.
What you'll do:
- Design Development & Execution: Support the creation of product concepts and textile designs under the guidance of senior team members. Help translate seasonal and brand briefs into real-world nursery product designs. Create clear and professional design files using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Work collaboratively with product development and engineering teams to bring designs to life. Participate in design reviews, contributing fresh ideas and assisting with revisions.
- Research & Inspiration: Conduct regular trend and competitor research to help inform seasonal direction and design briefs. Assist in compiling mood boards, colour palettes, and material inspiration.
What you'll bring:
- A degree or equivalent experience in fashion design, product design, textile design, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of professional experience (internships or placements in relevant sectors are a plus).
- Passion for baby products, lifestyle design, and understanding of consumer trends.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; comfortable working with digital sketching tools.
- Strong eye for colour, materials, and form, with a curiosity for evolving design trends.
- Basic understanding of designing within product constraints and manufacturing requirements.
- Excellent research and mood board development skills.
