Rexel UK have an Apprenticeship opening within our Stoke-on-Trent (ST1) Branch. As an Apprentice, you will be supported in your learning to gain great skills across the fundamental running of a Wholesale Business, setting you on a Career Path into where you find your passion. This could be Branch Management, Business Development & Sales or Logistics.

This is a Permanent Role, working Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00, with dedicated study days and end point assessments.

You will train across all responsibilities within a Branch Assistant Position which includes:

  • Managing stock in and out (to external clients)
  • Picking and packing, Store transfers & stock control
  • Completing the paperwork within the office
  • Raising quotations, Chasing quotations & Processing orders
  • Liaising with customers of the trade counter
  • Sales calls & Answering the telephone
  • Administration to support all activities
  • Some heavy lifting will be involved with loading and unloading the vans
  • Learn about products and to keep up to date with new products entering the market

What We Are Looking For:

  • English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential
  • Good communication skills, with the confidence to interact with customers and colleagues both face to face and via the phone/email
  • The ability to follow instruction
  • The want to take on new roles and challenges
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to work to deadlines and manage own workload
  • Understanding that the customer is the most important element to working within branch
