Are you looking for a post based within our York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management Team? Are you a strong team player, kind, friendly and motivated? Then we may have the role for you!
York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management (YTHFM) are looking for an approachable and flexible Transport Driver to join our team in Scarborough. Experience is not necessary as full training will be given, but a willingness to learn and develop your skills is essential. Additional hours may also be available at times, for those who wish to work them. You will be required to follow on-call rota.
The Transport Department provides a professional and reliable Transport service on behalf of YTHFM for York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, servicing various NHS organisations including other hospitals and GP surgeries within York and the surrounding areas.
You will primarily be responsible for handling and transporting a range of items, including, but not limited to:
- medical equipment
- controlled drugs (signed collection and delivery)
- food items
- medical gases
- pathology samples
- foul linen
- furniture
You will be responsible for the safe delivery and security of all items whilst in transit. We do not provide any patient transport.
