We’re CRO Solutions®, a fast-growing UK-based CRO redefining how statistical programming is done. We're on a mission to improve the way clinical data is handled, analysed, and delivered, and we’re looking for a Senior Statistical Programmer who wants to shape the future with us. Whether you’re working from home or occasionally visiting our Salford Quays office, this is your chance to lead with purpose, mentor others, and build something better.
What You Will Do:
- This isn’t just a “lead a study” role. You’ll have autonomy, respect, and the chance to make measurable impact. If you have an idea, then we want to hear about it!
- Leading the programming activities on trials, through to planning the delivery.
- Develop and write the production side and or validation side of programs.
- Shaping our internal CDISC standards and bringing structure to innovation.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with statisticians, data managers, and operations.
- Mentoring and uplifting junior programmers.
- Helping us reimagine processes, develop macros, and improve efficiency.
What We Are Looking For:
- You don’t need to tick every box, but here’s our ideal candidate:
- Solid SAS® programmer with experience leading clinical trial work (minimum of 2 years leading).
- Confident with CDISC SDTM and ADaM implementation.
- Comfortable working across departments and leading timelines/resources.
- Background in mathematics, statistics, computing, or equivalent experience.
Bonus if You Have:
- Experience with Phase I / Early Phase clinical trials.
- Experience with R programming (or any other relevant programming languages).
- Macro development skills.
- A desire to mentor or shape cross-functional process improvement.
What Makes Us Different:
- We are transparent with the hiring process, and we want to give candidates a clear step by step process to ease any nerves.
- Apply or connect on LinkedIn.
- Short informal call - 30 minutes to learn what you want in your next role.
- 5 Minute Self-assessment - rate your experience but don’t worry, there are no trick questions.
- Formal interview with Head of Statistical Programming, our Head of Ops, and Head of Biometrics.
- 1-hour practical task - test your real skills, not your memory.
What CRO Solutions® Will Offer You:
- Competitive salary.
- Annual bonus.
- 29 days leave (rising to 33 with service) + bank holidays.
- Private healthcare.
- Company pension.
- Immediate start available.
- Supportive culture + real progression.
- Opportunity to shape the department.
Who Should Apply?
If you’re tired of rigid corporate structures and want to work somewhere that values collaboration, transparency, and genuine impact, we’d love to hear from you. You don't need a heavily curated CV or the perfect cover letter. Just tell us what you’re good at, what you’ve done and what you're looking for.
