At Springwood Primary School, we are committed to creating the best learning opportunities for every pupil. Our goal is to provide a specialist, high-quality, relevant, and balanced education for pupils with SEND aged 5-11.

We are seeking to appoint several Level 1 Teaching Assistants to join our expanding team on both permanent and fixed-term contracts. Springwood is a large primary-age Special School (385 pupils aged 5-11), based across four sites, catering to pupils with moderate, severe, and complex needs. It is part of The Link Education Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant school and contribute to its future development.

Applicants should demonstrate how they meet the following essential criteria:

  • Interest in supporting primary-aged children with complex needs to achieve their potential
  • Ability to ensure inclusive support for pupils with various educational and behavioural needs
  • Teamwork skills to provide an appropriate learning environment
  • Willingness to learn new skills and engage in professional development
  • Previous experience working with school-aged young people, preferably with challenging behaviour and complex needs in an educational setting

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to undertake a class-based task, an ICT task, and a panel interview. Please demonstrate how you meet the criteria outlined in the Person Specification document when completing your application.
