This GC is privately held, been around for decades, and doesn’t treat its younger staff like interchangeable parts. They’re building out a team for a new $20M project in the Bridgeport area and they don’t just want warm bodies. They want smart, driven people who are ready to learn, grow, and move up.
This role is for a Project Engineer who actually wants to be on a track—to Assistant PM, to PM, to more. You’ll be working directly under a PM and Superintendent who’ve done this for a long time, know how to teach, and still enjoy building. No egos. No fire drills for the sake of appearances. Just real construction, done the right way.
What you’ll be doing:
- Coordinating submittals, RFIs, and all the usual project controls
- Supporting scheduling, change orders, and day-to-day site operations
- Working with seasoned PMs and Supers who’ll give you real responsibility
- Being on-site and involved—not stuck behind a screen in an office silo
- Learning how to manage a $20M+ commercial project from start to finish
What they’re looking for:
- 1–3 years of construction experience (internships count, if you’ve got hustle)
- A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or something adjacent
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools
