Landscape Services is seeking a new Grounds Maintenance Operative to join their team. The successful candidate will lead tasks such as grass cutting, border works, pruning, sports field marking, and other general landscaping duties.
The ideal candidate should have demonstrable experience in Grounds Maintenance and be based in a commutable location to Dartford. They will also be responsible for supervising and organising the team, ensuring resource and material requirements are met, and maintaining Health and Safety standards.
A current, clean driving license and a full DBS check (provided by the Company) are required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the team are able to complete work in line with the contract specification and show an excellent level of customer service, keeping customers informed throughout the process
- Planning, organising and supervising staff
- Ensuring equipment is safe and correct for use by carrying out inspections
- Planning, identifying and ordering materials and ensuring chemical usage complies with current legislation
- Ensuring safe working practices are always maintained, identifying risks and unsafe practices in order to minimise potential for injury or accident. Reporting all incidents and near misses to senior staff.
- Using company IT and equipment to record daily site activity.
What we need from you:
- Minimum 1 years of Grounds Maintenance Experience
- Full UK Driving Licence
- PA1/PA6
- Demonstrable machinery maintenance, use, knowledge and skill
- Demonstrable Health and Safety Knowledge
- Experienced in leading a team (desirable)
