At Norwich, we champion transdisciplinary making and creating using traditional, digital, and emerging technologies. We provide high-quality workshops and technical resources for students to explore material and digital thinking to succeed in their creative ambitions.

We seek an experienced creative technologist to establish and operate our new Creative Technology Lab, opening in September 2023. This lab will support technologies such as creative coding, VR/AR, physical computing, projection mapping, lidar scanning, and soft robotics.

The role involves designing and delivering technical skills, developing proficiency in physical computing, creative coding, projection mapping, and related platforms, tools, and methodologies.

The lab will feature cutting-edge equipment, enabling students to develop human-computer interaction projects and gain knowledge of product development lifecycles.

You will help integrate technical learning into our academic programs, working closely with students and staff, especially in our Computer Arts & Technology Programme. You will support student learning, helping them develop essential technical skills, and participate in research and knowledge exchange activities with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for emerging technologies that inspire student creativity.
