The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.
Our factory-based Production Operators working within the Liquids department carry out all manufacturing duties required for the completion of our flavour products, in accordance with quality procedures, food hygiene, and good Manufacturing Practices & Health & Safety standards. The role is hands-on and will involve manual handling, whilst working in a flammable environment. The Liquids department is responsible for making a number of different flavour compounds and emulsions; the operator is responsible for using machinery such as automated compounding equipment, mixers, homogenisers, and filtration equipment. RPE will be necessary when carrying out specific tasks.
Please note this role requires shift working, on a weekly rotation basis.
- Week 1: Monday to Friday – 6 AM to 2 PM (early shift)
- Week 2: Monday to Friday – 2 PM to 10 PM (late shift)
Shift premiums are paid accordingly.
What you’ll do:
- Follow and maintain inspection systems, procedures & schedules to ensure that the highest standards of housekeeping, product quality and safety are maintained.
- Adhere to production processes and methods (SOPs), report production issues to Shift Leader, which include breakdowns or problems with the plant/machine.
- Work within a small team, communicating and problem solving.
- Liaise with Quality Control to complete product adjustment to meet specification.
- Comply with Company Safety rules/values and Environmental policies to provide a healthy and safe working environment for all on site.
What you’ll bring:
- 3 GCSE Qualifications A-C grade or equivalent.
- Knowledge of GMP and food hygiene systems/procedures COSHH & HACCP.
- Counterbalance and Reach FLT licences.
- Willingness to learn different processes, showing a flexible/can do attitude.
- Experience working within a scientific/food/beverage environment (preferable).
