An opportunity has arisen for a full-time, experienced, competent Health & Safety Advisor at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This position is suitable for a highly motivated, committed individual with health and safety experience in a designated competent person health and safety role.
The postholder will be an integral team member of the health and safety team, working within regulatory compliance. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the ability to work closely with team members from all professions, as well as with the wider governance teams and specialist roles, to proactively deliver core health and safety requirements. They will also help coordinate training, support, monitoring, and management of the trust's health and safety programmes and plans.
This post attracts a “Golden Hello” payment (paid upon commencement of employment) and a further 2 Anniversary Payments paid after 12 and 24 months of service.
Previous experience of healthcare risk management systems is desirable. Candidates should have excellent IT and communication skills and experience working in a busy team with structured annual work plans and strategies. The post-holder will act as the expert advisor on health and safety to the Trust, coordinating the Trust's health and safety action plan and supporting patient and quality strategies for risk management and quality service provision.
