We are looking for an experienced People Manager to join a growing branded coffee business with over 30 stores across the UK. Backed by private equity and with a new leadership team in place, the business is entering a new phase of growth, and they are looking for a talented HR professional to shape and lead the people function. This is a fantastic role for someone looking to step into a more strategic position with clear progression to Head of People.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the HR lead for the organisation, supporting head office and store teams across the UK
  • Develop and implement HR policies, processes, and documentation
  • Lead recruitment for operational and support roles
  • Support managers with employee relations, performance management, and team development
  • Deliver a consistent and compliant HR service across the business
  • Manage onboarding, induction and offboarding processes
  • Build an inclusive, values-led culture and promote employee engagement
  • Provide guidance to leadership on people strategy and talent planning
  • Reduce reliance on third-party HR support through improved internal systems

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a People Manager, HR Manager, or HR Business Partner
  • Background in hospitality, retail, or another fast-paced multi-site environment
  • Strong generalist HR experience, including ER, recruitment, and policy work
  • Hands-on approach and confident operating in a standalone or small-team setting
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills
  • CIPD Level 5 (or working towards it) is desirable but not essential
