Wilson Language Training is growing and is looking to hire a 2nd shift Production Team Lead. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the production team as well as cover for the Production Manager in their absence. He/she will work closely with the Production Manager to schedule weekly production tasks in accordance with work orders. He/she will also coach and mentor production associates to achieve a high volume of accurately assembled products. He/she will pick, maintain and post work orders. He/she will also assemble multi-part sets and kits manually with low incidence of error. He/she will volunteer readily and will commit to long hours of work when necessary to reach departmental goals.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Read and understand work orders
  • Coach and mentor production associates
  • Conduct periodic spot checks of builds
  • Follow and enforce safety policies
  • Perform basic ERP transactions
  • Understand and display WLT's values
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Mastery of product descriptions, item numbers, and product visual recognition
  • Mastery of the bill of materials (BOMs) for all kits and sets
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
  • Ability to safely operate materials handling equipment including a willingness to operate a powered forklift.

Education or Certification:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • Minimum of one year in production environment, prior leadership experience preferred

Actual pay, and allocation between base and any target discretionary bonus, will vary based on geographic location, education, work experience, skills, market data, and internal equity considerations.
