KEY INFORMATION:

Reporting to an Engineering Lead within the Review & Acceptance Branch of the site, you will be an Electrical Engineer, contributing to the review and acceptance of engineering queries raised by the site Contractor on the electrical scope across the CI/BOP and Nuclear Island buildings. This role will be focused on the electrical discipline but will be interfaced with other disciplines and with several parties, such as the site Contractors (composed of main suppliers and sub-suppliers), Construction teams, Quality teams, Project Management teams, or Design teams (embedded within the organisation on site, or in back office).

EXPERTISE:

  • Responding to General Queries, Non-Conformances, Change Request, and Exemption Requests originating from the MEH Contractor on site, with the support of the Responsible Designer or site Experts when needed
  • Provide adequate oversight to ensure the Nuclear Safety and Environmental Regulation requirements are met
  • Challenge design decisions so that engineering and design aligns with the project strategy
  • Assist in co-ordinating support from other external organisations
  • Contribute to the resolution and closure of Open Points
  • Assess technical risk and subsequently address this risk
  • Maintain a strong relationship with EDF EPR Engineering (Responsible Designer)
  • Report operationally to an Engineering Lead
