The role of Group Security in Fujitsu covers a range of specific areas of responsibility, as well as being the point of final recourse for many others. Broadly, the responsibilities entail the protection of:
- All those working for Fujitsu
- Fujitsu buildings, premises and assets
- The reputation of Fujitsu
The team delivering this includes both Physical Security Advisors and Technical Security Advisors, who have differing skill sets and roles but deliver to the same overall goals. The roles are mutually supportive and there is some overlap between them.
The role of Physical Security Advisor will involve:
- Manage, maintain and protect the security of Fujitsu buildings, premises and assets
- Safeguard the security of all employees, contractors and external residents and visitors to Fujitsu
- Carry out and complete investigations relating to criminality, asset loss and damage
- Act as the liaison with Investigative Authorities on behalf of Fujitsu
- Gather evidence to support investigations
- Deliver security training and briefings
- Manage suppliers of security related products to Fujitsu
- Manage and maintain IT systems that support the work of the department
- Support and supply material to other departments and meetings
- Manage and support the Access Control systems to Fujitsu buildings
- Advise and support travelling employees, to keep them safe
- Support and monitor Fujitsu Executives
- Be responsible for the security provision at the events that Fujitsu attend and deliver
- Act in support of Facility Security Clearance standards in support of HMG customer accounts
- Support the Pre-employment screening process
- Support the National Security Vetting process
