The Role: As a Customs Expert, you will need a solid customs background with up-to-date knowledge on all things Customs related. Ideally, you will come from a freight forwarding background or have experience working for HMRC. You will be responsible for monitoring changes in Customs legislation, analysing, documenting, and providing guidance to the business. You will serve as a mentor and coach to the forwarding team, the wider business, and clients. The successful candidate will be involved in Customs projects and act as a focal point in the business. During busy periods, you will be hands-on with the team, completing declarations.
