Our services in the hard sector include electrical and mechanical maintenance, building services, fire safety, and compliance.

Job Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and servicing mechanical building systems, including Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), pumps, and valves. You will also be expected to undertake minor works across other trades as required. Working on a secure government contract, you must be able to pass Security Clearance (SC) checks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair on AHUs, FCUs, pumps, and valves.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs.
  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on building systems.
  • Complete relevant documentation and reports in line with compliance requirements.
  • Support other maintenance tasks as required, including basic electrical, plumbing, and general building upkeep.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders professionally and courteously.
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety regulations at all times.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in mechanical building maintenance within a facilities management environment.
  • Strong knowledge of AHUs, FCUs, pumps, valves, plumbing, and general HVAC systems.
  • Flexible approach to work, willing to assist with other trades as needed.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC).

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Valid CSCS card preferred.
  • Health and Safety certification (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH) desirable.
