We’re looking for a strategic and commercially minded professional to lead the development of asset management capabilities that ensure long-term value, performance, and sustainability across our bus depot portfolio. Your work will directly improve the quality of life for millions of people. Bus-specific experience is not required; we welcome candidates from a range of comparable backgrounds.
Your Role
As Commercial Manager for Asset Management, you’ll lead the development and implementation of a depot asset strategy that ensures effective commercial oversight of engineering-related assets and infrastructure. You’ll:
- Develop and manage commercial strategies for depot assets
- Oversee supplier performance, contracts, and risk management
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. facilities, operations, legal) to deliver value-driven outcomes
- Authorise and monitor asset maintenance and renewals in line with an asset management strategy
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in asset lifecycle management
This is a hybrid role where you will be expected to work in the office 2 days per week.

What we can offer you
This is a permanent role and comes with a salary of £57,770 - £65,024 per annum depending on skills and experience. At TfGM we encourage candidates to discuss flexible working options at any stage of the recruitment process. Our benefits include:
