What you’ll be doing as a Construction Assurance Engineer:

  • Supporting essential design and delivery reviews, identifying risks and issues, and working with stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Conduct health and safety audits to identify and address relevant issues.
  • Focus on the construction phase of wastewater projects, assessing and reporting project progress, rectifying issues, and leading the escalation process as necessary.
  • Ensure that all non-conformances are identified and corrected.
  • Manage, identify, and resolve snags and liaise with Operators and contractors after the takeover to handle defects, the aftercare process, and performance testing.
  • Monitor, agree on, and approve Takeover tests with the project team.
  • Ensure that the required project documentation meets our specifications and that the information for taking over is approved.
  • Work as an active member of one or more project teams with one or more of our contractors.

This role is hybrid and Thames Valley based. You are required to be on site 3-4 days a week, 36 hours a week, Monday through Friday. The successful candidate must have a valid driving license and access to a car - this role comes with a car allowance of £4,500 per year.

What you should bring to the role:

  • Have an HNC or above in an appropriate engineering subject or background in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of health and safety on construction sites or an SMSTS qualification can be offered as part of the role if the holder is not currently holding it.
  • Understand design, construction, and operations within industries like the theatre sector.
  • Have a background in project delivery and integration within the construction sector.
  • Be confident in communicating with stakeholders at various levels.
