Location: Doncaster
Hours: 2/3 weekday shifts to start. Monday & Wednesday confirmed, as 4-6 hour shifts.
Pay: £15.50 - £17.00 per hour depending on shift.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Brain Injury Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to our client, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Due to role responsibilities, you must have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
About the Client:
Our client is a female in her 20’s with a brain injury, following a road traffic accident. Whilst independently mobile, she requires a wheelchair for longer distances. She has some left side weakness and suffers with fatigue. This role will be to provide companionship, support as a PA and assist in the community, including going to nail and hair appointments and out for lunch and coffee. She loves fashion and photography, and has a pet miniature daschund, so applicants must be comfortable with dogs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily living activities, including accompanying client in the community and taking client to appointments.
- Provide emotional support and companionship.
- Assist with meal preparation.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role, preferably with brain injury.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Energetic, upbeat, and empathetic nature.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work the specified hours.
