The Opportunity
As a Process Engineer at A-SAFE, you will drive improvements in process efficiency, product quality, and technical problem-solving. You’ll play a key role in delivering new product introductions, optimising OEE, and ensuring safe, lean, and scalable processes.
In This Role, You Will
- Lead structured cycle time reduction and scrap minimisation initiatives
- Support SMED implementation and standardisation of best practices
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on core manufacturing processes (injection, extrusion, rotational moulding)
- Attend tool trials and technical reviews (DFM, GA, drawing reviews) both in the UK and abroad
- Procure or build End of Arm Tooling (EOAT) for robotic systems
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to introduce new products and processes
- Calculate machine and tooling requirements for new products, as well as conduct DOE studies and process validation
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 5 years' process engineering experience in high-volume manufacturing
- Expertise in at least two of the following: injection moulding, extrusion, rotational moulding
- Strong analytical skills and confident communicator with the ability to present data and build business cases
- Experience with robotic programming and EOAT (Desirable)
- Knowledge of PU formulation or polyurethane process environments (Desirable)
