Welcome to Wanstead Veterinary Hospital! Our largest 24-hour hospital in the group is looking for a Senior RVN who thrives and excels in the ECC environment, and is looking to step up into a senior hospital role.

Before we delve into the nitty gritty, here is what we offer you:

  • Our senior RVN salary band is £34,000 to £39,000 depending on prior experience and allowing room for growth within the role.
  • 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays

About the role:

This full-time (40 hours per week) senior RVN position would be ideal for a highly experienced RVN who thrives in all departments within a hospital setting, and is ready to step into a senior role, supporting the various departments in the hospital including theatre, ward, consults and ECC. Your rota will also include a weekend rotation with TOIL and up to 3 bank holidays per year. Your rota will involve covering departments when the relevant senior department colleagues are on annual leave, meaning your weeks will differ aiding in variety.

This role would suit an experienced RVN who is a strong "all rounder" and wants to impart their skills and knowledge to a large team of RVNs and trainee nurses.

There is fantastic diagnostic support at Wanstead, with a new CT scanner, a commercial laboratory, a strong medical team, and experienced surgeons routinely conducting advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive surgery all available on site.

You will be working alongside a large team consisting of approximately 24 vets, 27 RVNs, 14 SVNs, 7 VCAs and a large front of house team who are integral in maintaining excellent client care.
