What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage the delivery of small/medium code changes through the delivery lifecycle from initial requirements gathering through to post-go-live support.
- Elicit, analyse, understand, and document user requirements to ensure accurate fulfilment of user story requests from internal business customers.
- Perform development activities and potentially act as technical lead on projects to create or modify highly complex business systems solutions.
- Support the implementation of the Oracle Cloud Fusion Applications.
- Provide support to less experienced members of the team.
- Conduct quality assurance & peer review activities.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues identified during development or in production.
- Identify the root causes of support issues and work to improve the spread of knowledge within the DevOps IM&T team.
- Work as part of the wider IM&T team to help focus improvements in customer experience and to contribute to the IT strategy.
Essential Skills and Experiences:
- Proven work experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer and/or Oracle Functional Consultant, with an understanding of Oracle database architecture and data modelling principles.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions using PL/SQL.
- Experience working with Oracle 11i / R12 personalisations and configurations across multiple Oracle modules.
- Experience working with Oracle Inventory, Order Management and Procurement modules.
Desirable:
- Experience working with Oracle Cloud technologies, Oracle Application Framework (OAF), Oracle Workflow such as Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and Oracle Visual Builder.
- Technologies including XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, Java, Javascript, Power BI, Report Builder/SSRS & SSAS Tabular Model.

The COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) Applications Team:
As an Oracle Techno-Functional Consultant, you will be working on the implementation of our new Oracle Fusion Applications (Cloud Based) which straddles a large variety of workstreams, including Order to Cash, Plan to Produce, Procure to Pay, Aftermarket. This is an exciting opportunity to help support our existing Oracle 11i EBS instance with custom packages, forms, workflows and personalisations while the Oracle Cloud implementation takes place and will have the chance to get involved with the Siemens Mendix low-code development tool, amongst other things.
Our team supports a variety of different business systems applications that link to Oracle including Aegis FactoryLogix (MES), Siemens TeamCenter (PLM) and a Microsoft Data Warehouse. You will liaise with internal business customers at all levels, including face to face communications with end users and collaborate closely with other members of the IM&T DevOps team.
