Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled PC-DMIS CMM Programmer to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, editing, and running CMM programs using PC-DMIS software to inspect and verify the dimensional accuracy of complex components and assemblies, ensuring they meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and operate CMMs using PC-DMIS software to inspect parts according to engineering drawings and CAD models
- Develop and optimize automated inspection routines to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and apply it to inspection strategies.
- Analyze measurement data and generate detailed inspection reports.
- Perform first article inspections reports, in-process, and final inspections.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve dimensional issues.
- Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Document procedures and maintain program libraries.
- Train and support other operators or technicians as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience with ISO, AS9100, or IATF 16949 quality systems (industry dependent).
