Balfour Beatty have created iconic buildings and infrastructure all over the world over the past 115 years redefining excellence and setting the industry benchmark with every project. As a result, alongside several consortium partners; Balfour Beatty have been selected by BP (British Petroleum) to construct a first-of-a-kind fully integrated gas-fired power station with carbon capture and storage which is a key driving force behind plans to make Teesside the UK’s first decarbonised industrial cluster.

Balfour Beatty is seeking a dynamic and experienced Land Engineering Survey Manager to contribute to the Net Zero Teesside project based at our new site in Redcar.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the day to day running of survey tasks and lead survey projects
  • Maintain and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ownership of the survey lifecycle – this includes scoping, costing, and project management
  • Understand project requirements and implement innovative survey design techniques
  • Manipulate, disseminate and present data using appropriate tools
  • Ensure the mentoring and training requirements of the survey team members are met
  • Set individual development objectives, including the timely completion of Balfour Beatty PDR
  • Manage site records of all survey related tasks

Who we’re looking for:

  • Proficient in the use of multiple survey software/hardware packages
  • Knowledge of and checking design deliverables in various digital formats
  • Knowledge and experience in geodetic requirements for construction projects
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing up to date survey data reality capture methods
  • Knowledge and experience of setting up local base networks and establishing connected site environments
