Come join the team as a Trainee Service Locator in our growing business, along with exciting opportunities to work on some of the largest UK construction projects. You will play a crucial role in conducting surveys, collecting data, and producing maps using various tools and software. The role will require travel to London and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities- The scope of this role is to carry out the physical check and survey of all of the underground services within the area that is being investigated.
- The Trainee Service Locator will use various geophysical techniques to locate the service, once they have been found, the services will be marked/spray painted onto the ground in the appropriate colour, defining the type of service and the depth of the service.
- Working with modern service location equipment such as Radar detection, RD8100/8200.
- Accurately and consistently locate underground utility assets and mark them up on-site as part of the permit-to-dig process.
- Work with your surveying mentor as their assistant to complete surveys in line with Vision Survey, clients and industry standards.
- Building and maintaining client relationships ensuring we deliver to our client’s expectations.
- Assisting with detailed field and office location assignments.
- Checking the quality of information within a permit to dig, and the successful briefing of site teams.
- Ensure that all survey kit is maintained and well kept.
- Follow the Client/Site permit to dig procedures, and RAMS.
This position is in a lively and fast-paced environment, so we’re looking for candidates who can adapt to changes smoothly and handle their tasks efficiently. We’re seeking someone who can balance various responsibilities, stay adaptable, and become a valued member of our team. A readiness to travel to our locations throughout the country is a must. You should be able to collaborate effectively within a team and engage with clients in person. A full UK manual driving license is required.
