These are two newly created roles working with one of the most impressive Scotch Whisky portfolio’s in business. You will have the opportunity to learn from the best, and enjoy promoting these prestigious brands in some the best bars, hotels and restaurants in the country.

The roles of Business Development Executive (England) are key positions for this well known Premium Spirits producer. It incorporates the best of the On Trade, RTM and Specialist Retail accounts, including some with National reach.

We are looking for someone based around the Manchester/Leeds/Newcastle area to cover the M62 corridor, and another person based around the Midlands, or further south.

The roles will report to UK Specialist & RTM Lead and work very closely to support National Account Managers in their role with National RTM customers. You will have the support from the whole team to make this role your own.

You must drive growth through rigour, enterprise and tenacity as well as being able to work collaboratively with other departments.

People

Based within your territory you will cultivate and nurture relationships with your key customer counterparts. The importance of working together as a team is critical to the success of this business. It is therefore imperative you work in a collaborative and inclusive manner.

You will also have the ability to effectively communicate internally and externally and demonstrate excellent advocacy skills.

Drive

You will need to be autonomous, dynamic, proactive and determined to succeed. You will have the autonomy to make key decisions and will need to seek out new opportunities and manage existing relationships, leveraging that into growing category shares. You should see yourself as a key part of the Commercial team and as result act accordingly and set a standard for others to follow.

Owning the Last Mile

This business requires people that have bright ideas, are positive, entrepreneurial and enthusiastic. You must have the ability to think “out of the box” and be able to develop and implement new ideas, promotions and campaigns.

The position requires a results-driven individual not somebody who blames barriers or obstacles.

Whilst being supported through direct line management and above, this is also an autonomous, creative role. This role will be instrumental to the implementation of the overall UK strategy. You must be commercially astute and achieve stretch targets with a “can-do” attitude. You will develop and implement strategies, initiatives and contribute to the delivery of the business plan for the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage On Trade and Specialist Retails accounts and develop good relationships with customers.
  • Grow the On Trade and Retail presence in turn increasing P&L performance
  • Supporting National Account Managers with RTM activation and contact strategies
  • Developing relationships and seeking opportunities within the On Trade and Specialist Retail market and supporting customers through RTM relationships
  • Provide Admin support to UK RTM & Off Trade team, including but not limited to, administering new product listings, account visits, tastings, events etc
  • Any other reasonable duties as required for the role.
