We’re helping a fast-growing betting business find someone to take the reins of their customer retention strategy across sportsbook and casino. The goal? Keep players happy, active and loyal. You’ll lead all things retention, from shaping the overall strategy through to day-to-day execution — with the support of a capable Retention Marketing Executive.
They’re after someone with solid experience in the UK betting and gaming world, who knows their way around a CRM platform (they use Symplify) and has a sharp eye for customer data and insight.
Here’s what the role looks like in a bit more detail:
- Own and deliver the full retention and CRM strategy across sportsbook and casino
- Run day-to-day campaigns (email, SMS, push) to drive engagement and loyalty
- Use data to guide decisions and optimise performance across key metrics like retention rate, ARPU and LTV
- Work closely with internal teams - from Support and Trading to Compliance
- Develop smart bonus strategies and loyalty schemes that stay within regulation
- Keep an eye on the market and look for clever ways to stay ahead
- Manage and mentor a direct report
- Share monthly performance updates and insights with leadership
What are they looking for? Someone with a good sense of humour, a love of sport and a healthy respect for data. You’ll also need to:
- Be hands-on with CRM platforms like Symplify
- Be curious - always asking why things work, or how they could work better
- Have a good understanding of UKGC regs and how they impact marketing
- Be happy in a small, agile team
- Have at least 3 years’ experience in a retention or CRM leadership role within the UK betting industry
And if you don’t tick every box, don’t stress - they care more about finding the right fit than a perfect CV.
The practical bits:
- Full-time role - can be remote or office-based (northern England)
- Salary between £50-60K depending on experience
- Benefits include:
- Enhanced pension
- Private medical insurance & life assurance
- Monthly wellness/massage treatments
- Quarterly company socials
- And a big chance to make a real impact
Want to apply? Send over a cover note to hell@wearewander.co.uk explaining why this sounds like your kind of role, along with a CV. Interviews will be informal, insightful, and give you a chance to share your ideas.
