Interface Engineer (Jackets Package) required for a major Offshore Wind Developer based in The United Kingdom.

Responsibilities:

  • Working in the WTG Jacket foundation design team, reporting to the engineering manager, to provide interface engineering support for the detailed design phase of the WTG jacket foundations.
  • Working closely with the Technical Interface Team to ensure interface requirements for the WTG jacket design are adequately identified and communicated to relevant parties.
  • Working closely with the foundation design contractor and JV Secondary Steel Engineer to ensure delivery of secondary steel detailed design in accordance with programme and contract.
  • Close interaction with the OSP Jackets team to ensure alignment between designs.
  • Responsibility for updating and maintaining Employer Requirements and Basis of Design.
  • Ensuring alignment between Jacket and GBS foundation designs.
  • Reviewing Contractor design deliverables (drawings, design reports, design briefs etc.) to ensure interfaces are being correctly considered by the design contractor.
  • Support with the decision-making process to ensure design decisions are correctly logged.
  • Writing decision papers to support the decision-making process.
  • Support certification process.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in offshore foundation design.
  • MEng in appropriate Engineering field (e.g. Mechanical / Civil / Structural engineering).
