We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Lead to join our Information Systems Department. In this role you will analyse, plan and manage the implementation of information technology across both South Yorkshire and Humberside Police.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice around Force data and the technologies used to store and manage it.
- Lead on future database requirements and formulate proposals to meet the Forceβs needs.
- Monitor and control requests for new work ensuring that appropriate quality and standards are maintained and work is completed in a timely fashion.
- Demonstrate and lead excellent customer service standards.
- Responsible for ensuring that incident, problem and change management procedures are adhered to, whilst finding ways to accelerate service delivery to customers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key Stakeholders.
- Responsible for the completion of IT security remediation actions in order to support the GIRR (Governance and information risk return) for the use of national IT systems.
- Assist the Solutions Delivery management team in the identification and documentation of risks and issues.
- Provide guidance on business continuity arrangements for the Solution Delivery area of the department.
- Contribute to the effective budget management of the IT Infrastructure in line with current and future spend, providing oversight of overtime and other expenses.
