Teaching is at the heart of the Business, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Summer School programme at Oxford Royale. We are seeking a teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging lessons that introduce students to key areas of business, including entrepreneurship, marketing, economics, and finance. The ideal teacher will inspire students by integrating real-world business case studies, encouraging strategic thinking and fostering an entrepreneurial mindset. Lessons should challenge students to think critically, actively participate, and apply theoretical concepts to practical business scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and adapt lessons using the Teacher’s Guide, ensuring content meets the diverse needs of students.
  • Deliver dynamic and interactive lessons that engage students in exploring business fundamentals and advanced topics.
  • Use subject expertise to ensure student progress, providing tailored feedback and adapting tasks as necessary.
  • Lead practical workshops, simulations, and case study analyses to connect theory with real-world business challenges.
  • Mark assignments, offer detailed feedback, and complete student reports reflecting individual progress.
  • Handle administrative tasks, including maintaining registers and attending staff meetings.
  • Collaborate with fellow teaching staff to maintain a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
Person Specification:
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in business, economics, or entrepreneurship, with awareness of current market trends and business practices.
  • Passion for inspiring students and developing their understanding of business and enterprise.
  • Ability to communicate complex business concepts clearly and adapt teaching styles to suit various learning needs.
  • Creative and confident teaching approach, encouraging hands-on problem-solving and innovation.
  • Fluency in English and strong organisational skills.
Position Details:
  • Programmes are two weeks in length, with options for 2, 4, or 6-week contracts available between July and mid-August 2025.
  • Teaching takes place Monday to Friday, with lessons scheduled from 09:00 to 16:00, although shorter hours may be available in some locations.
  • Compulsory online and in-person training will be required before starting the role.
  • While key teaching materials are provided, teachers are expected to adapt lesson plans to suit student interests and contribute their own expertise to the course.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree (or higher) in Business, Economics, or a closely related field.
Desirable Qualifications / Experience:
  • Experience teaching business or related subjects to students aged 13-18.
  • PGCE or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in business, entrepreneurship, or finance.
